Use this focused calculator when the roof area or roofing-square count is already known. It turns that coverage into whole shingle bundles and keeps the product's bundles-per-square value editable.

How to measure

  3. Enter bundles per square from the shingle carton, then add pricing only if you want a rough cost estimate.

How the estimate works

Adjust the roof area, divide by 100 to get roofing squares, and multiply by bundles per square. Round up to whole bundles.

Worked example

Enter 2,000 sq ft, add a 10% allowance, and use 3 bundles per square. The result is 22 adjusted squares and 66 bundles before any product-specific change.

Before you buy

Check the carton label rather than relying on a generic three-bundle assumption. Order compatible starter, ridge, valley, flashing, and other roof materials separately.
